Campsis Radicans has beautiful orange trumpet flowers, instantly giving your garden a Mediterranean atmosphere. The Campsis is also known as trumpet climber. The plant grows upwards with the help of adhesive roots. These roots enable the plant to climb along a wall or fence. Therefore, the trumpet climber is also very suitable for a smaller city garden. This fast-growing climber originates from America, but you also come across it a lot in Italy, Spain, Greece and Croatia. So chances are you've come across it on holiday at some point. Fortunately, the Campsis is sufficiently hardy, so you can easily bring the holiday feeling to your own garden. The Campis Radicans is a fast grower and can grow up to 5 metres tall.

Care
Place the plant in a sunny and somewhat sheltered position. In a sunny position this trumpet flower will flower more abundantly and longer. Campsis flowers relatively late in the summer. When most plants have already finished flowering, the trumpet climber is a colourful addition to the garden. The plant does not need a lot of water, but make sure to water it adequately especially in the first year in case of heat or drought. Don't be afraid to prune the Campsis back well if it gets too big and wild. It is a strong and fast-growing plant that will be little bothered by this.
