More information

The unique Eucalyptus Oliva is native to south-eastern Australia and is the favourite meal of koalas. This beautiful plant is very popular in the cut flower industry with its unique green leaves that closely resemble those of the olive tree. Hence, this species is called the Eucalyptus 'Oliva'. The leaves are not only special, but also smell delicious. The plant is moderately hardy, which means it should be protected in severe frosts. In its young years, the Eucalyptus has round leaves that later become oblong. The Eucalyptus leaf is often used for its aromatic oils. If you want to recreate the ultimate wellness experience at your home, pour some boiling water on a handful of eucalyptus leaves to create your own steam bath. This will help you breathe more freely. It also keeps mosquitoes and flies away, as they don't like the Eucalyptus scent.

Care
The Eucalyptus Oliva likes a sunny spot in well-drained soil. If you prune the Eucalyptus regularly, it remains a small shrub. If not, it can grow into a metre-high tree. Depending on your personal preference, the way you prune your Eucalyptus is very important. If you want to keep it compact, March is the best time to cut it back.

Size
The plants have a height of 40-50cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19cm.
