Care
The Chamaedorea does not tolerate direct sunlight but can stand in a light spot as well as in a spot with a little more shade.
Watering
The Chamaedorea should not be placed in a dry soil, but try to prevent the roots from standing in the water. Therefore, give small amounts of water regularly. It is advisable to water once every four days in the summer and once every 10 to 14 days in the winter.
Spraying
Spraying the Chamaedorea Elegans and Metallica is highly recommended. When the Chamaedorea is not sprayed, it is extra sensitive to spider mite. It is therefore recommended to spray the plant at least twice a week. Spraying is good for the vitality of the plant but also for the decorative value, so dust is removed with a spray.
food
Supplementing the Chamaedorea is best done with Pokon palm food or universal houseplant food. Never use more than the recommended amount stated on the back of the package. If you give the houseplant too much nutrition, the soil becomes very acidic. This can cause the plant to die.
